Production commenced in our new assembly hall just in time for the start of this year, with four mobile cranes ensuring a seamless production process. The new adjoining office building will be finished in a few weeks, and will be home to the aftersales and engineering departments.

davit international is expanding at his location in Sulingen/Germany. A new production and assembly hall with integrated office will be ready until end of this year. The ground breaking ceremony was fulfilled by Mr. Joachim Wiese and Mr. Ulrich Stabenow.

New order from our longstanding customers in Russia fill our orderbooks for the next years. Life-saving equipment and hose handling crane for these tanker vessels will be delivered by davit international.

The new generation of knuckleboom cranes, type C-SH.K, was tested at our new testplatform under participation of our customer and GL-classification society representatives.
Lifting capacity will be 240kN at 23,5m outreach and 60kN at 26m outreach.

The next service training is planned for September 2011 with participants from India, England, Spain and Brasil.

We are proud to deliver for the next new wind park project "Borkum West II" an offshore store- and man riding crane. The platform will be installed in the North Sea / Germany.

We are proud to receive the order for life-saving equipment of new ferry for COTUNAV, Tunisia. The vessel is world largest Ropax Ferry and will be built in KOREA at DSME.
Our package includes 10 pcs. life-saving systems - davits and boats.

The next two newbuildings for Norwegian Cruise Line at MEYER Werft Papenburg, Germany will be fitted out with our equipment. These large cruiseliners will get 10 pcs. lifeboat davit systems, 6 pcs. life/tenderboat davit systems.

We are now German flag state approved by BG Verkehr (former See-BG).
Subject of this new admission is periodically servicing of launching appliances and on-load release gear.
Our service engineers can maintain life-saving systems according IMO 1206/Rev.1 and IMO 1277 on german flagged vessels.

We are supplier for all life-saving systems on board. Each vessel will be equipped with four lifeboat davits with mechanical stored power, one fast rescueboat davit and one rescueboat davit. The vessels will be built at Bergen Group Fosen, Norway, and the shipping line is Fjord Line.

- Large interest in our displayed aluminium crane. Several customers asked for the possibilities with aluminium material.

We have successfully designed, built and tested new store/, gangway handling/, provision cranes for 5 star river cruising vessels. The first of these vessels has already left the yard for his test run.

The development is going on in davit international.
Due to new winch design from our own engineering office for handling of lifeboats up to more than 300 persons, we have invested in design and construction of a more powerful test-tower with a test-height of 27m and a SWL of more than 30 tons. Now the test conditions especially for offshore and cruise liner winches have improved.
The next Service Training will take place in week 25/10 with participants from Egypt, Korea, United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands. They will get the authorization to service all our products.
The new regulations according to Solas Annex 7-Resolution MSC.272(85) indicates a higher weight (82,5kg) of each person in a life- or freefall boat. According to the new regulations d-i has to renew all existing certificates which will be completed until 30. June 2010.
We are proud to be the supplier of lifesaving systems and boats on this new Ferry "Stena Hollandica". Scope of supply: 4 lifeboat davit systems, 1 fast rescueboat davit system with MOR,1 rescueboat crane with wave compensation and all boats.

The "ship's christening" of „Windlift I“ took place at Western Shipbuilding Yard in Klaipeda on 25 June 2009. This kind of Jack-up-Platform was designed by BARD engineering group to install wind turbines in the North Sea. It has a length of 102 meters and a width of 36 meters. Davit international has delivered two lifeboat davit systems, one fast rescue boat davit system including all boats and an auxiliary crane.

Austal Ships, Australia has ordered a special electrical slewing type rescueboat davit from davit-international for the new High Speed Passenger vessel AUTO EXPRESS 102.
This new Ro-Ro vessel has a length of 102 metres. It is able to carry 245 cars and about 1000 persons.
Once again, Meyerwerft in Papenburg has ordered 24 innovative davit systems for two big cruise liners from davit international. The vessels belong to a group of 5 cruise liners for Celebrity Cruises (Miami, USA), a subsidary of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
The order includes 16 lifeboat davit systems, 6 life- / tender boat davit systems and 2 rescue boat davits for each vessel.
The first vessel will be delivered in 2010 and the second in 2011.
We would like to welcome our new employees Johannes Pieper / engineering department and Arturo Castillo / after sales department.
davit international successfully completed a prototype test for a new generation of davit systems. Launching procedures and weight aspects were tested for lifeboats, which can carry up to 270 persons.

On February 1st, 2009, Mr. Ulrich Stabenow was appointed Managing Director of davit international. In the future, he will run the company together with the existing Managing Director, Mr. Fritz Hische.
davit international has received a new order from Kraljevica/Croatia for the complete lifesaving equipment (boats and davits) of the Passenger Container Vessel -Desgagnés-.
This new vessel belongs to a Canadian Shipowner.

Thanks to our new davit system, type D-NPS.SP.35 for rescue- and workboats, d-i davit international gmbh has been nominated for Seatrade Award 2009; it has a working load of 35kN and a stored power unit. This smooth and slim A-Frame davit possesses an anti-pendulum system with docking head to absorb heavy roll and pitch movements during turning-out and turning-in of the boat. All mounted parts require very low maintenance.
This unique davit system has been put into service on the "Planet", a special SWATH vessel, owned by the German Government.
The next Service Training will take place with participants from France, Greece, Italy, UAE, Turkey and Estland. They will get the authorization to service all our products.

The renovated and renamed cruiseliner "Empress of the Sea, now belongs to Pullmann Tours.
For another safety modification davit international receives the order for 4 new life-tender boat davits.

The next Viking Line Ferry will be built in Spain. The complete life-saving equipment has been ordered at davit international.
Four sets of lifeboat davit systems; one rescue boat crane, one fast rescue boat crane and all necessary boats will be delivered this year.
The previous ROPAX ferry „Viking XPRS“ from Viking Line is already in service with our davitsystems and boats.

davit international has a new order for life-saving equipment on the Jack-up-Plattform „Windlift I“. We are delivering two lifeboat davit systems, one fast rescue boat davit system including all boats; two auxiliary cranes as well.
This Platform has been designed by BARD engineering group, Germany, and will be built at Western Shipbuilding Yard in Klaipeda. This kind of platform is designed to install wind turbines in the North Sea. It has a length of 102 meters and a width of 36 meters.

Schat Harding has authorized all our service engineers to conduct the annual service for their hooks ARH and RRH. The training took place in Houton, The Netherlands. See: Certificate of Competence in Annual Servicing (PDF file, 234 KB)

Two service engineers of davit international have finished their training at ACÉBI FRANCE. davit-international is now authorized to repair and maintain all ACÉBI plants and machineries.
